Lelygaan Magazine

Lelygaan is a seasonal magazine based in Groningen, Netherlands, created by and for young people. I worked with the editor in chief to define the magazine’s visual direction. My role included art direction, concept development, and building a visual identity that reflects the magazine’s focus on creativity, clarity, and a youthful yet refined aesthetic.

The design approach centers on clean layouts, clear typography, and a bright layered style that supports the magazine’s content. Each spread uses white space and balanced composition to create an engaging reading experience. Photography is paired with in-house illustrations, which I also guided to ensure a cohesive look throughout the magazine.

Alongside the print design, I worked on the feed design, creating social media assets that carry the same visual language, keeping the identity consistent across platforms.
